Research Areas

Our research is centered in the combination of transition metals and organic synthesis to address challenges in chemical sustainability, healthcare and energy. Further information about our research, with examples from our main programmes are outlined here, and please see our publications page for full details.

Housed in the School of Chemistry at the University of Birmingham, we focus on catalysis and molecular synthesis, designing efficient new transformations and more effective catalysts. Our research is informed by the need for more sustainable and flexible access into new and functional molecular entities, and we look to translate our fundamental reactivity studies into direct applications for end-users.

From 2024 we will be based in the Molecular Sciences Building at the University of Birmingham
